Wakefield Trinity Wildcats head coach Chris Chester has admitted his side have had to adapt to new expectations this season.
When he joined, the club had survived the Million Pound Game against Bradford Bulls and had started the new season poorly. Then last season, they finished within a couple of points of a Super League Playoff Semi Final.
“Weve changed that perception and weve got a difficult task of managing that expectation.” He said.
They host Salford Red Devils on Friday looking for a second consecutive win after their 28-6 win at Hull KR. “We’ve been favourites the last couple of games and it’s all relatively new to us.
“But we’re enjoying the respect we’ve been given from opposition teams, it’s certainly a nicer position to be in than it was 12 months ago and we’d like to go two from two.
