St Helens will be the first team to travel to the South of France this season as they travel to a Catalans Dragons side looking to recover from a heavy defeat at Widnes Vikings.
The Dragons suffered a heavy 40-12 defeat at Widnes, one of their rivals in the Middle 8s last season. Whereas St Helens laid down a real marker by beating last seasons runaway league leaders Castleford Tigers 46-6.
Saints won this fixture last season, although this was their first victory in France for five years.
Catalans have two welcome boosts as Greg Bird and Thibaud Margalet have been declared fit for the game at the Stade Gilbert Brutus. Alrix da Costa also comes in. They are all in for Paul Aiton and Samisoni Langi who are injured and Sam Moa who is suspended.

Meanwhile St Helens make just one change as Adam Swift replaces Ryan Morgan in the squad who has been ruled out with an injury.
