Huddersfield Giants forward Oliver Roberts has signed a new five year contract to remain at the club.
The young forward has been at the Giants since 2014 after leaving Bradford Bulls following their relegation from the Super League.
His stock pile began to rise after he made his Ireland debut in the 2017 World Cup. The Boys in Green won two of their three group matches but failed to progress.
The Ireland international also admitted there was interest from other clubs were interested before he signed his new deal.
“When I came back from Australia (following the World Cup), I had a bit of interest from other clubs. But I like it here.” He said.
His coach Rick Stone added: “Good, quality players are hard to find and when you find someone at a young age, you want to keep them.”
