Third Round Challenge Cup Draw

The Challenge Cup Third Round Draw has been made with League One teams entering the fray.

Several all League One ties were the highlight of the draw, with some community sides getting dream ties.

Hunslet Club Parkside welcome Workington Town, in what could be a real dream tie for the NCL side. Other dream ties include Distington travelling to Coventry Bears, Myton Warriors travelling to Doncaster, Askam welcoming York City Knights, Featherstone Lions travelling to Oldham and Oulton Raiders travelling to Hunslet.

It is a great reward for Featherstone Lions after beating NCL Champions Thatto Heath Crusaders in the last round.

The all League One ties include the newly reformed West Wales Raiders taking on Bradford Bulls, North Wales Crusaders welcoming Keighley Cougars, Hemel Stags welcome Newcastle Thunder and Whitehaven face London Skolars.

In the best of the rest, Batley Boys’ exploits have been rewarded with a trip to Normanton Knights. Big killers Millom will travel to St Helens to take on Pilkington Recs. The British Army’s exploits  continue as they travel to Kells.

There are several highly competitive tries and everybody is trying to still be in the competition for the Championship teams to enter the fray, and then the Super League teams.
