French side Toulouse have thrashed Sheffield Eagles 50-6 to temporarily go top of the Championship.
It was a close first half as unconverted tries from Paul Macron and Mourad Kriouache had given the French outfit a narrow advantage after being pegged back from a Cory Aston try.
However, Toulouse then scored seven unconverted tries in the second half to assert their dominance and condemn the Eagles to a third straight defeat to start the season.
Mark Kheirallah scored one and converted all seven of the second half tries.
Justin Sangare and William Barthau both scored two tries as well as efforts from Constantine Mika and Stanislas Robin completed the scoring for the home side.
Ahead of the rest of the Championship fixtures tomorrow, Toulouse have now set the pace as they go top of the table as the first side to score 100 points, another statement of intent that they want Super League action. They travel to Leigh Centurions next week.
As for Sheffield, they have gone bottom of the league after a third straight defeat. They are the first side this season to concede 100 points over the course of the season. They will look to halt the slide when travel to Featherstone Rovers next week.
