London Broncos beat Featherstone Rovers 44-24 to return to the top of the Championship. Jarrod Sammut scored a hat trick and added seven goals as well as two tries from Kieran Dixon, who added another goal and individual efforts from James Cunningham and Alex Walker won the game for the Broncos. Two tries from Josh Hardcastle as well as individual efforts from Misi Taulapapa, Luke Briscoe and James Lockwood were in vain for Rovers.

We also had the first shock result of the season as Barrow Raiders beat promotion favourites Leigh Centurions 24-20. A hat trick from Shane Toal and another try for Ryan Fieldhouse won the game for the promoted side. Two tries from Ilias Bergal as well as individual efforts from Peter Mata’utia and Larne Patrick was not enough for the Centurions, who suffer defeat for the first time since their return to the Championship.

There was also a huge win for Batley Bulldogs as they won 48-28 at Swinton Lions. Two tries from Michael Ward as well as individual efforts from Alex Rowe, Wayne Reittie, Adam Gledhill, Lewis Galbraith, Bradley Day, Dave Scott and Alistair Leak won the game for the Bulldogs. Tries from Mike Butt, Jack Hansen, Chris Hankinson, who also added four conversions, Luke Waterworth and Matt Sarsfield earned the Lions a decent amount of points, but not enough to win the game.

Toronto Wolfpack came from behind to claim victory at Halifax to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. Two tries for Adam Higson, as well as tries from Greg Worthington and Nick Rawsthorne won the game for the Wolfpack. Chester Butler scored the only try of the game in vain for Halifax.
