Forward Frank-Paul Nuuasala has stayed in Australia after cancelling his contract with Wigan Warriors.
He joined the Warriors in the back end of 2016 after leaving the Canberra Raiders in Australia. It is understood he wants to be closer to his family.
It is believed he will move to his former club Sydney Roosters, or Newcastle Knights who are looking for experience to add to their young squad.
Nuuasala leaves Wigan having made 47 appearances for the club. He largely struggled to make an impact- and became more recognisable with his behaviour rather than his playing style.
He very much had a love-hate relationship with St Helens as he was given a yellow card for pulling Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook’s hair and then had an angry exchange with Saints fans when they next met in the Super 8s.
He will hope to find a club before the NRL season starts in three weeks time.
