The RFL have announced today that a new performance unit for English Rugby League has been launched.
Off the back of the success of the 2017 World Cup, where England were narrowly beaten by Australia in the final, the RFL want assure the success of the side for years to come.
The unit will be led by former Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield and he will be supported by current England coaches Paul Sculthorpe and Paul Anderson as well as National Programmes Manager Dave Elliott, Leader of Human Performance Chris Black, and Head of Operations Jane Phillips.
Wayne Bennett and Jamie Peacock will also provide support from the senior England Men’s team.
The idea of the unit is to develop more world class players for all of the England senior sides including men, women and wheelchair.
