Challenge Cup big killers Batley Boys and Millom’s chances of getting to Wembley are over after being defeated by Normanton Knights (18-0) and Pilkington Recs (32-16) respectively.

Elsewhere, York City Knights made light work of community club Askam by beating the Cumbrian club 60-6 away from home.

Hunslet Club Parkside also had their adventure cut short after pushing Leon Pryce’s Workington Town all the way. The League One side finished as 24-16 winners.

The last of the armed forces sides was also knocked out as the British Army were beaten 30-4 by Kells.

In the days all League One tie between Whitehaven and London Skolars, the Cumbrian side edged out the side from the Capital by 16 points to 14.

The games continue tomorrow.
