Hunslet Club Parkside also had their adventure cut short after pushing Leon Pryce’s Workington Town all the way. The League One side finished as 24-16 winners.
The last of the armed forces sides was also knocked out as the British Army were beaten 30-4 by Kells.
In the days all League One tie between Whitehaven and London Skolars, the Cumbrian side edged out the side from the Capital by 16 points to 14.
