Jukes resigns as Leigh Head Coach

Neil Jukes has officially resigned as the Head Coach of Championship side Leigh Centurions, just four games into the new season.

Jukes had the Centurions to the Super League at the first attempt after replacing Paul Rowley as Head Coach in 2016.

It was a tough season for the Centurions and they were relegated following defeat in the Million Pound Game against Catalans Dragons.

Leigh have started the season poorly with just one win in their first four games and now Jukes has decided he is not the man to take them forward.

Kieran Purtell will be the temporary Head Coach whilst the Centurions seek a replacement.  Ex Huddersfield Giants Head Coach Paul Anderson will assist Purtell.
