French side Touluse’s impressive start to the season continued to inflict a third straight defeat on Rochdale Hornets.
Two tries apiece for William Barthau and Paul Macron as well as individual efforts from Bastien Ader, Tony Maurel, Constantine Mika, Mourad Kriouache, Mark Kheirallah (who also added seven goals) and Bastien Canet won the game for Toulouse.
The only reply the Hornets could muster was a Declan Gregory try that was converted by Harvey Livett, the young Warrington halfback at the club on dual registration.
That result means Toulouse have temporarily gone top of the Championship on points difference over London Broncos. They currently have the best attack in the league with 200 points scored. They travel to Dewsbury Rams next Sunday.
As for Rochdale, they have slipped to second bottom in the Championship, having played a game less. They host newly promoted Barrow Raiders next Sunday.
