Coventry Bears survived a huge scare against Pilkington Recs to advance to the fifth round of the Challenge Cup.

Two tries from James Mason, as well as efforts from Paul Emanueli, who also added a drop goal, Hayden Freeman and Jason Bass won the game for the Bears.

As for the Pilks, two tries for Chris Clayton as well as efforts from Terrence Riley and Tom Chisnall kept the Recs in the game, but they fall short in what has been an incredible Challenge Cup run.

The Bears are through to face Widnes Vikings in the fifth round. In the mean time, they welcome Newcastle Thunder to Butts Park Arena next Friday.

As for Pilkington, they have a week off before travelling to Featherstone Lions on the 7th April.
