Castleford Tigers second rower Matt Cook has signed a new one year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2019.
The 31 year old, who is in his second spell at the club, has played a crucial role for the Tigers in their rise under Daryl Powell.
Powell praised the forwards energy coming off the bench has been crucial for his side and that he thinks he can better as well.
Whilst Cook himself said it was good to get the situation sorted.
He hopes to celebrate this contract with a win over Wakefield Trinity on Thursday.
