NCL Division One: Trojans and Skirlaugh draw as York and Lock Lane win close battles


Thornhill Trojans and Skirlaugh played out an entertaining 28-28 draw in Leeds.

Two tries for Danny Ratcliffe as well as individual tries from William Gledhill, Joss Ratcliffe, William Poching and Jordan Lowther for the Titans were cancelled out by two tries for Michael Johnson and Reece Dean and a further try from Carl Puckering for Skirlaugh.

Elsewhere, York Acorn won a thriller at home to Oulton Raiders 36-32.

They won thanks to two tries from Matthew Chilton and further tries from Matthew Downes, Joshua Thompson, Anthony Chilton, Thomas Hill and James Bromwich.

Lock Lane also won a close encounter at their West Yorkshire rivals Bradford Dudley Hill 24-16.

Two tries from Craig Savage as well as further tries from Connor Land, who also added a goal and Luke Tagg won the game for the Lane.

Dudley Hill got back into it with tries from Jamie Brentley, Luke Johnson and David Halley, but they just fall short in the derby.

Milford Marlins won a low scoring affair at home to Shaw Cross Sharks.

They won thanks to tries from Jacob Skinner and Andrew Barker.

While Leigh Miners Rangers won the days late game on Rugby AM, 30-6 over Ince Rose Bridge.

Tries from Robert Crompton, Joe Digby, Bradley Hargreaves, Thomas Farrimond, Darryl Kay and Martin Gray won the game for the Miners.

Ince Rose Bridge replied with a try from Jamie Malone, but the Greater Manchester side continue to struggle.

And Featherstone Lions picked up an impressive win 32-20 at home to Pilkington Recs.
