St Helens winger Tommy Makinson has been charged but not banned by the Match Review Panel for Dangerous Contact.

Makinson was referred for the panel for a tackle he made on former team mate Josh Jones in his sides 32-30 win over Salford Red Devils on Friday night.

He was given a Grade A charge, and given his previous clean record, avoided a ban from the panel.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield Giants forward Joe Wardle has been given a caution for dissent during his sides 30-22 victory over Hull KR on the same night.
