Wakefield and Catalans look for upper hand in playoff race

Wakefield Trinity and Catalans Dragons will open the Dacia Magic Weekend at Anfield with both sides hoping to get the upper hand in the race for the playoffs.

Trinity will be hoping to recover after a disappointing trip to the capital last week, losing 42-34 against London Broncos.

The Dragons will be coming into the game off the back of their historic victory against Wigan Warriors at the Nou Camp last Saturday.

Wakefield make three changes to that side that lost in the capital, with new signing Kelepi Tanginoa coming into the squad. Anthony England and Matty Ashurst also come in with Jordan Crowther, Chris Annakin and Justin Horo, who left the club last week.

The Dragons have made two changes from that side that won in Barcelona. Greg Bird drops out with injury and Michael McIlorum has also been dropped. They have been replaced by Matty Smith and Lambert Belmas.

The match kicks off at 2pm and will be refereed by Scott Mikalauskas.

Its going to be a close game with not a lot in it. I am going to go for a Dragons win by 10.
