A repeat of the 2016 Million Pound Game will open Day Two of the Magic Weekend at Anfield on Sunday.
The Red Devils won that day thanks to a Gareth O’Brien drop goal, condemning Rovers to a season in the Championship.
Fast forward to the present day, and Rovers are in desperate need of a win as they are joint bottom at the moment with eight points.
As for Salford, they are definitely in the picture for the playoffs, and could have gone as high as third had it not been for their last gasp defeat at St Helens last Friday.
Salford have made one change from that game and that sees Jake Bibby return in place of Ben Nakubuwai in the 19 man squad.
As for Rovers, they have three senior players back from injury as Mose Masoe, Shaun Lunt and Will Dagger all return to the 19 man squad.
The match will be refereed by Ben Thaler.
On paper, it should be a close game but I think it will be a routine win for Salford, by 10.
