Both Whitehaven and Oldham produced brilliant performances to win the two games in League One today.

The Cumbrian side overcame London Skolars in a top of the table clash, as they ran in four second half tries to come from behind and beat the capital side.

Liam Scott had given London the lead before Dion Aiye levelled before the break.

Then second half tries from Carl Forster, James Newton,Brett Phillips and Aiye’s second secured a brilliant and perhaps significant victory for Whitehaven.

Oldham were able to thrash Keighley Cougars 52-12 away from home.

Liam Bent opened the scoring, before Gareth Owen doubled the lead soon after. Jack Miller then pulled one back for the Cougars, but it was only a consolation.

Tries from Paul Crook, Danny Langtree, Dave Hewitt and Zack McComb then put the visitors out of sight.

Miller grabbed a second try, but it was all the Cougars could produce.

Further tries from Jack Holmes and two from Emmerson Whittel sealed the game for the visitors, as they go just two points behind London Skolars in second.
