Widnes Vikings thrashed Sheffield Eagles 36-6 at the Select Security Stadium to climb out of the bottom two.
Tries from Hep Cahill, Jayden Hatton, Jack Owens, Chris Dean, Ryan Ince and then two tries from Keanan Brand had the Vikings 36-0 up with less than an hour gone.
The Eagles did get a response as Ben Blackmore crossed with just over 10 minutes left, and that was all they could respond with.
It was a much needed win for the home side as they fell into the bottom two last week. They are back in action on Wednesday as they welcome Featherstone Rovers in the 1895 Cup.
As for the Eagles, they will be disappointed as they missed the chance to close the gap in the race for the playoffs. They travel to Halifax in the 1895 Cup on Wednesday.
