Castleford Tigers have confirmed the signing of Toulouse forward Tyla Hepi ahead of the 2020 season.

Hepi has been confirmed as the Tigers’ replacement for Mitch Clark, who will join Wigan Warriors for next season.

The New Zealand forward will follow in his fathers footsteps in putting on the Castleford Tigers jersey.

Brad Hepi had two spells at the Tigers, in 1999 and 2001 before his retirement.

Tyla’s rugby league career started at Hull KR, before making appearances for his dads Gloucestershire All Golds. He then had a year at Whitehaven before making the move to France and Toulouse in 2016.

He scored 10 tries in 80 appearances for the French side.
