Leeds host Wigan looking to boost survival hopes with back to back wins

Leeds Rhinos host Wigan Warriors looking to boost their own survival hopes on Friday night.

The Rhinos currently lie in 10th place, just two points off the bottom of the Super League. They won at Wakefield Trinity last week and will be hoping to build on that to get themselves out of trouble.

Meanwhile, the Warriors aren’t far ahead of them, as they lie just two points ahead in eighth place. They won 19-18 at Hull KR last Sunday and can pull further clear of the bottom.

Both sides will no doubt be looking to improve on their seasons so far and finish as high as possible.

The home side have made one change from their game against Wakefield as Wellington Albert replaces Ashton Golding.

The Warriors come into the game without former Rhino Zak Hardaker and forward Ben Flower, who has a back injury.

The game kicks off at 7.45pm.

Key Battles

Tom Briscoe vs. Joe Burgess- Two world class wingers who have proven it at both club and international level. Both have several Super League winners rings to their names. Both are fantastic try scorers and could hold the key to unlocking the game.

I think it will be a close game, but I think Leeds may just edge it. Purely because of advantage. Leeds by four.
