Wigan travel to Huddersfield hoping for third straight win

Wigan Warriors are hoping to carry on their fine form since Magic Weekend as they travel to take on Huddersfield Giants.

Since losing to Warrington Wolves at Anfield Stadium, they have since won two straight games at Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR.

As for Huddersfield, their form has not been the best, though they were unlucky to lose to a Peter Mata’uita drop goal at Castleford Tigers.

The home side have been boosted by the returns of Oliver Roberts, Louis Senior and Dale Ferguson, but they will have to do without Joe Wardle, who has a hand injury.

As for the Warriors, they have Zak Hardaker and Joe Greenwood back as they look to close on the playoffs.

The game kicks off at 7.45pm at the John Smiths Stadium.

Key Battles

Darnell McIntosh vs. Zak Hardaker- another battle of youth and experience. McIntosh has been important for the Giants since breaking into their first team, while Hardaker has much more experience, winning three Super League titles among others. Both are very exciting players and could well hold the key.

I am sticking with the form book in this one, I will go for a comfortable win for Wigan, by 10.
