Leeds Rhinos 31-12 Catalans Dragons
The Rhinos set themselves up for a much needed win with three tries in the opening 20 minutes as Adam Cuthbertson, Tom Briscoe and Brad Singleton all crossed. All three efforts were also converted by Liam Sutcliffe to make it an 18 point lead.
The Dragons hit straight back in this one as Arthur Romano went over. Sam Tomkins converted to reduce their deficit to 12 points at half time.
The visitors also got the first try of the second half as Tomkins got through. He then converted his own try, ensuring it would be a nervy final 20 minutes for Leeds.
But the nerves didn’t show as Konrad Hurrell and Jack Walker added tries and Richie Myler added a drop goal to confirm a priceless victory for Leeds.
Castleford Tigers 42-10 London Broncos
The Tigers started well in this one with tries from Tuoyo Egodo and Mike McMeeken put them 10-0 up after half an hour.
London did hit back just before the break as Kieran Dixon got in. He did however, miss the conversion.
The last word of the half would go to Castleford though as McMeeken grabbed his second try of the afternoon. Jordan Rankin converted to make it 16-4 at the break.
From there, the hosts took control as Egodo grabbed his second, and there were further tries from Rankin, Jacob Trueman, James Clare and Chris Clarkson, which took the Tigers past 40 points.
The last word would go to the Broncos however as Rhys Williams got over. Dixon converted to take the Broncos into double figures.
