Salford host Huddersfield hoping to get playoff hopes back on track

Salford Red Devils host Huddersfield Giants at the AJ Bell Stadium on Thursday night, hoping to get their playoff hopes back on the right track.

The Red Devils fell out of the top five after defeat at Wigan Warriors last week.

As for Huddersfield, they need to start picking up wins to stay out of relegation trouble. Results around them mean they are level on points with London Broncos at the bottom of the league.

The hosts have named an unchanged side from that one that lost out at Wigan last Friday.

As for Huddersfield, Oliver Wilson is in line to make his debut after joining from Bradford Bulls. Tom Holmes could also make his first appearance for the Giants after being on loan at Featherstone Rovers.

Winger Jermaine McGillvary could return after being passed fit.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm

Key Battles

Niall Evalds vs. Darnell McIntosh- Two fullbacks who are very capable players. Both players are good attackers and defenders and could well hold the key in attack as well.

It is starting to get nervy for Huddersfield if they don’t start picking up wins, but I don’t think it will start here. Salford will win I think, by 10.
