Super League Friday Review: Wins for St Helens and Wigan

Posted by

Hull FC 12-40 St Helens

Two tries for Lachlan Coote and other efforts from Morgan Knowles, Theo Fages, Regan Grace, Jack Ashworth and Jonny Lomax put the Saints 40-0 up at Hull

The Black and Whites were able to rally and score two tries before the end through Ratu Naulago and Jamie Shaul but it was much too little, much too late for Hull who fall to back to back defeats.

Wigan Warriors 52-10 Hull KR

A Liam Farrell try and a penalty from Zak Hardaker had the Warriors eight points up after just ten minutes.

That lead was soon uncomfortable as Adam Quinlan got through and scored. Ryan Shaw converted to leave just two points in the contest.

From there, it was all Wigan as two tries from Liam Marshall and another for Hardaker had the Warriors 24-6 up at the break.

They kicked on in the second half as well as Marshall grabbed his hat trick, Farrell grabbed his second and they were other efforts from George Williams, Oliver Gildart and Joe Burgess got Wigan past the 50 point mark.

The last word would go to the Rovers though as Quinlan grabbed his second to bring Rovers into double figures.
