Warrington Wolves thrashed Leigh Miners Rangers Ladies 56-8 in the Championship today.

A hat trick for Michelle Davis, two tries for Rowanne Smalley, Roxette Mura and Danielle Bound and individual efforts from Samantha Simpson and Sophie Cowle earned the big win for the Wolves.

The Miners responded with tries from Leanne Johnson and Kellie Gray but they were well beaten on the day.

That win puts Wire into second place in the Women’s Championship with a game in hand on leaders Barrow. They host Huddersfield Giants on 21st July.

As for Leigh Miners, they stay third and could have gone top with a win. They have a fortnight to recover before they welcome Widnes Vikings to Twist Lane.
