Hull FC have confirmed their fourth pre contract signing with Manu M’au joining the club from NRL side Parramatta Eels.
M’au, a Tongan international, has signed a two year contract, starting in 2020.
His story is a very interesting one. He was a part of “JDK”, a street gang in New Zealand. He was sentenced to three years in prison after his part in a brawl with a rival gang.
After his release, he found his way back into rugby league and four years later, got a visa to take him to Australia and play for the Eels.
From there, he has scored 23 tries in 104 games for Parramatta in five years of service.
M’au joins Josh Jones, Adam Swift and Mahe Fonua in joining the Black and Whites for next season.
