Charnley extends Warrington stay

Warrington Wolves winger Josh Charnley has extended his stay at the Haliwell Jones Stadium until the end of 2022.

Charnley has been an important part of the side since he returned to the sport in 2018 after a stint in rugby union with Sale Sharks.

He has helped to lead the Wolves to a Super League Grand Final and a Challenge Cup Final, but they lost out in both.

The former England international has also formed a potent winger-centre partnership with Toby King.

In his first spell in rugby league, he represented Wigan Warriors, where he helped them to two Super League titles and a Challenge Cup title, scoring 162 tries in 171 games.
