Huddersfield host Catalans looking for back to back wins

Huddersfield Giants welcome Catalans Dragons at the John Smiths Stadium on Friday night in what could be a key game for both teams.

The Giants, who found themselves being dragged into the relegation battle, then turned on the style as they beat Salford Red Devils last Thursday.

As for Catalans, they lie in the final playoff spot. But with Castleford Tigers just two points behind, they need to ensure they stay ahead.

The Dragons are also looking for back to back wins as they won against Wakefield Trinity last Saturday.

The Giants have made one change, with Adam O’Brien is out after picking up a head injury in last weeks win at Salford, and he is replaced by England academy player Dominic Young.

The visitors also make one change with Matty Smith dropping out in place of Mickael Goudemand.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm.

Key Battle

Alex Mellor vs. Matt Whitley- Two second row forwards who certainly catch the eye. Neither are afraid of putting in the hard metres and are hard to stop at the best of times.

This is a really diffcult one to predict. Both sides have good days and bad days. Looking at the squad on paper, I would give the Dragons a slight edge. So I will say them by six points.
