Betfred League One Review: Haven survive Doncaster tussle

Coventry Bears 20-48 Hunslet- Two tries for Gareth Potts and Reece Dean, as well as individual efforts from Tom Ashton, Josh Tonks, Nathan Chappell, Jimmy Watson and Dale Bloomfield got Hunslet’s promotion hopes back on track. The Bears responded with tries from Lewis Taylor, Reece Rance and Elliott Hall but they fell short in a brave fight.

Doncaster 12-22 Whitehaven- Two tries from Carl Forster and another for Andrew Bulman earned a crucial win for Whitehaven. The hosts responded with tries from Sam Doherty and Rangi Chase (playing his first game after returning from a drugs ban), but they fell just short in their chase of top spot.

Keighley Cougars 50-18 West Wales Raiders- A hat trick for Jack Miller, two tries for Benn Hardcastle and other efforts from Macauley Hallett, Will Cooke, Jamie Thackray and Jason Muranka earned the win for the Cougars. The Raiders responded with tries from Mitchell Shaw, Sam Baker and Morgan Evans, but they fall short in their battle for a first win.

Oldham 46-30 North Wales Crusaders- Two tries for Richard Hawkyard and Harry Aaronson and other efforts from Danny Bridge, Lee Kershaw, Matthew Wilkinson and Phil Joy earned the win for the hosts. The Crusaders responded with two tries from Rob Massam and other efforts from Ben Stead, Simon Atherton and Declan Gregory, but they fall just short.

Workington Town 32-22 London Skolars- Two tries from Jamie Doran and other efforts from Perry Singleton, Declan O’Donnell, Tyllar Mellor and Stevie Scholey earned a much needed win for Town. The Skolars responded with tries from Judd Greenhalgh, James Barran, and Iliess Macani, but it is another damaging defeat for them.
