Hull Wyke have strengthened their hold on sixth place in the Yorkshire Mens League Division One after a 34-0 win over bottom placed Allerton Bywater.

That result takes them two points clear of Oulton Raiders, who were level on points with them heading into this match.

As for Allerton, it is a seventh straight defeat and it is looking increasingly likely that they will be playing in Division Two next season.

There is no rest for the wicked as Wyke are back in action on Saturday when they welcome the Raiders to East Yorkshire.

As for Allerton, they have a week off now before they welcome the same opponents on August 3.
