Wigan Warriors have laid down some serious markers with the signings of Bevan French from Parramatta Eels and George Burgess from South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Burgess will join his new teammates for the 2020 season, while French has signed with immediate effect.
23 year old French plays either at fullback or on the wing. He has played 47 times for the Eels, scoring 35 tries.
He had fallen out with coach Brad Arthur and has not played for the Eels this season, instead he has played for reserve side Wentworthville Magpies.
While the 27 year old Burgess has played 148 games for the Rabbitohs, scoring 13 tries.
The England international has ran into some trouble this season, after being given a nine game ban for eye gouging, his second ban for the offence in two years. After this news, his coach Wayne Bennett said Burgess would be leaving the club at the end of the season.
They join a growing list of players to sign for the Warriors, with Mitch Clark and Jake Bibby already confirmed for 2020.
