Betfred League One Roundup: Dons win playoff thriller

North Wales Crusaders 33-16 Coventry Bears- Tries from Alex Thomson, Rob Massam, Declan Gregory, Brad Brennan, Dave Eccleston and Joe Ryan as well as a drop goal from Steve Roper earned the comeback win for the Crusaders. Coventry responded with tries from Reece Rance, Harvey Whiteley and Elliott Hall but they couldn’t see the game out.

Doncaster 23-22 London Skolars- Tries from Matty Beharrell, Sam Doherty, Russ Spiers and Rangi Chase as well as a drop goal from Beharrell won the game for Dons. London responded with a hat trick from Guy Armitage and another for Richard Wilkinson but their playoff hopes take another set back.

Oldham 28-20 Newcastle Thunder- Two tries from Danny Bridge and other efforts from Kyran Johnson, Cameron Leeming and Gareth Owen won the big game for Oldham. The Thunder responded with tries from Quentin Laulu-Togagae, Conor Fitzsimmons, Kieran Gill and Alex Clegg, but they fall to third.

Workington Town 66-22 West Wales Raiders- Two tries from Jonathan Walsh, Gordon Maudling and Blain Marwood as well as individual efforts from Danny Tickle, Russ Bolton, Caine Barnes, Sean Penkywicz and Sam Hopkins earned the big win for Workington. The Raiders responded with tries from Phil Cowburn, Paddy Jennings, Sam Baker and Michael Sabor but they were well beaten.
