Featherstone Rovers have given fullback Dakota Whylie a new one year contract.
The 20 year old has not featured for Rovers this season because of a knee injury the fullback picked up in pre season.
Whylie said: “I’m really buzzing to have signed a new contract, it was a real shame that I got injured and have missed this year but I’m really grateful to Featherstone.
“Hopefully I’ll be back for pre-season but I am taking it steady and making sure that I’m 100% ready to go before I try and come back.
“Ryan Carr is a coach that really knows what he is doing and I’m excited to be staying at the club in order to develop more under him.
“The rest of the coaching staff and physio team are fantastic too and have given me nothing but the best support throughout this injury.”
