London Skolars centre Lameck Juma has been banned for five games after being referred to the tribunal.
He was originally charged with Grade D dangerous contact and plead guilty to the offence. As a result, he has been banned for five matches and fined £75.
Juma will now miss the Skolars’ final two games of the regular season against Hunslet and North Wales Crusaders, and the playoffs should the Skolars get there. If not, he will miss the first three games of the 2020 season.
In addition, Hunslet forward Dale Bloomfield will also face a four game ban after being found guilty of a Grade D charge of striking.
Bloomfield plead guilty but challenged the grading. However, the challenge was not successful.
As well as the ban, the forward will pay a £75 fine.
He will miss Hunslet’s games against London Skolars, Workington Town and Oldham. Bloomfield will also miss their first round playoff match.
Also for Hunslet, Duane Straugheir managed to successfully appeal his charge of running in and punching. It was downgraded to a Grade A charge of lashing out.
As a result, he will not face a suspension but has been given a £75 fine.
