Woolston Rovers returned the top of NCL Division Three after a 32-10 victory over Millom on Wednesday.

Two tries each for Adam Files and Ryan Brown to go with other efforts from Harry Files and Ben Dixon earned the big win for the Warrington side.

With three games of the regular season to go, the Rovers are closing in on a place in Division Two next season, as they have gone six points clear of third place Heworth.

As for Millom, they remain in 11th place, and are aiming for as high a finish as possible.

The Rovers can clinch promotion against third placed Heworth a week on Saturday.

It doesn’t get any easier for Millom as they stay on the road to take on another promotion chasing side in Dewsbury Celtic,
