Whitehaven have announced forward Carl Forster has left the club following the 2019 campaign.
Forster has elected not to sign a new contract in order to move closer to his St Helens home.
But they have acquired the services of forwards Tom Walker and Glenn Riley from Cumbrian neighbours Barrow Raiders.
Walker said “I just can’t wait to get started, I’ve been keeping an eye on the club all year and they’ve done great.
“I’m looking forward to working under Charlo & Jonty as I believe massively in a local based team and its working what they are doing.
“I’m looking forward to catching up with old friends and former team mates.
“Finally and most importantly retaining championship status and giving a few teams a shock especially when they have to travel up here to the Recre with the solid local team we have.”
Riley said “I’m delighted to have signed back at my home town club. It feels like there is a real buzz around the place and the club seems to be going from strength to strength.
Usually after a season you’re ready for a break and some down time but I can’t wait to get started ready for next season.
“I would like to thank every one at Barrow especially Paul Crarey and the players for making my last two years so enjoyable.”
