Ex Hull KR winger Ryan Shaw has switched codes to join union side Yorkshire Carnegie.
He is the latest player to join the side after the club after a period of financial uncertainty.
They entered a Company Voluntary Agreement and faced a 28 point deduction, but they were able to secure their finances by the RFU deadline.
“I have always liked the idea of making the link across to rugby union at some point in my career,” Shaw said.
“Having met with the Yorkshire Carnegie coaching staff I knew this would be the right move for me.”
He continued: “As a goal-kicker, I have always appreciated the importance of kicking in rugby union and I am looking forward to developing my game after crossing codes.”
