Egremont Rangers pulled off a stunning second half performance to beat Distington 21-14 to lift the EB Lamb Amateur Cup.
The Rangers drew first blood with a penalty, but it was Distington who got the first try through Bryan Ritchie.
It was the leaders of the Iggesund Cumberland Premier Division who led 14-8 at the break.
The second half belonged to Egremont as they ran in three unanswered tries and added a drop goal to confirm victory.
It was a brilliant result for the Rangers, as they kept up their brilliant record in cup competitions. Their season is now over, but they can celebrate a bit of silverware to end it.
Distington’s season is not over just yet, they have a playoff final against Wath Brow Hornets a week on Saturday, as they look to add the league title to their League Leaders crown.
