St Helens forward Emily Rudge has been confirmed as the captain of the England squad for the Nines World Cup and the tour of Papua New Guinea.

Rudge has had a standout year for Saints, which saw her nominated for the Woman of Steel.

Also, Georgia Wilson of Wigan replaces Shannon Lacey of Leeds, after Lacey picked up a head injury.

Leeds Rhinos prop Adam Cuthbertson will also join the coaching setup, replacing Lindsay Anfield as an assistant to Head Coach Craig Richards.

The squad will take part in the Nines World Cup next week before two tests in Papua New Guinea in November.
