Saints and Salford embark on Old Trafford for thrilling finale

St Helens and Salford Red Devils will walk out at Old Trafford on Saturday for one of the most eagerly anticipated Super League Grand Finals in recent years.

The Saints have led the Super League during the regular rounds and led the table by a record breaking 16 points, after just three defeats.

They are unbeaten since a surprise defeat against Warrington Wolves at Wembley Stadium for the Challenge Cup Final.

As for Salford, their incredible run keeps on going. They were facing a battle for the top five at one stage, but ended the season in third, and beat Castleford Tigers and Wigan Warriors on their way to the final.

The final will very much feel like home advantage for the Red Devils, and they will have the full might of the rugby league community, that doesn’t support St Helens, behind them.

Saints will be hoping to send Justin Holbrook out on a winning note, as he takes the job at Gold Coast Titans in 2020.

The match kicks off at 6pm.
