Distington avenged last weeks defeat against Wath Brow Hornets to lift the MITIE Cumberland Cup in Maryport.
It was a close game, with the Iggesund Cumberland Premier Division League Leaders taking the spoils 16-10.
It was a crucial game, that saw a repeat of the Top four final, which Wath Brow won last week.
But Distington would add another trophy to their collection this season, to make it two trophies out of four available, so it is still a very good return, especially given the questions that would have been asked after losing their last two finals.
As for Wath Brow, it was still an incredible season for their young side, defying the odds to claim the top four title in the Iggesund Cumberland Premier Division really did catch the eye in the rugby league community, given the fact they not only beat Distington in the final, but also beaten Ellenborough Rangers away from home.
Both sides will surely go at it again in 2020/
