York City Knights pair Liam Salter and Brad Hey have signed new contracts ahead of the 2020 season.
Both players played their part in what was an incredible return to the Championship for the Knights, which saw them finish third at the end of the regular season.
For Hey, it is a sixth season at the Knights, after signing from Castleford Tigers in 2015, and Salter is heading for a second full season as York head into a season in their new community stadium.
York head coach James Ford said: “Brad has continuously displayed a fantastic attitude towards his and the teams development. His commitment and professionalism are of the highest levels and we’re delighted we’ll be getting to coach Brad for at least another season.
“I’m really pleased that we’ve retained Liam, we all enjoyed working with him and deeply respect what he brings to the side. He runs great metres out of exit, generates good ruck speed, runs strong lead lines, hits hard and works tremendously hard in defence.”
