England have named their squad ahead of their upcoming tests against Papua New Guinea.
League Leaders Castleford Tigers have eight players in the 23 woman squad. Kelsey Gentles, Sinead Peach, Shona Hoyle, Rhiannon Marshall, Tara Stanley, Georgia Roche, Tamzin Renouf and Grace Field have all been rewarded for a season which saw Cas end the regular season with just one defeat and unbeaten at The Jungle.
The only side that beat Castleford, St Helens, are the next best represented side with seven players as Faye Gaskin, Jodie Cunningham, Emily Rudge, Naomi Williams, Tara Jones, Leah Burke and Chantelle Crowl have all been selected. They also finished the season unbeaten at home.
Leeds Rhinos, who recorded a historic league and cup double, have five players in the squad with Danielle Anderson, Caitlin Beevers, Charlotte Booth, Amy Johnson and Shannon Lacey have all been rewarded for an incredible season.
The final three spots go to players from Wigan Warriors. The 2018 champions have Rebecca Greenfield, Rachel Thompson and Georgia Wilson in the squad after continuing to stand out.
The squad will play two games against Papua New Guinea on November 9 and November 16.
