Great Britain Lions head into the second game of their tour of the Southern Hemisphere against New Zealand hoping to bounce back from last weeks disappointing defeat against Tonga in Hamilton.
They face a Kiwis side that knocked them out convincingly in the semi finals of the Nines World Cup in Australia a few weeks ago.
Despite recent results, Great Britain, have historically had a good record against New Zealand, winning 65 of the 109 games played between the two sides over the years.
The last time the two sides played each other was in 2007, when the Kiwis embarked on their All Golds Tour to celebrate 100 years. Britain completed a trio of victories against New Zealand.
It is the first time since 2006 the two have played in New Zealand. The first result which was won by New Zealand 18-14, was discounted because the Kiwis had fielded an ineligible player. It did not matter however as they won the replay 34-4.
It should be a brilliant game, and well worth the early rise. It kicks off a 4am UK time.
