Experienced sports club owner Damian Irvine has joined the board of League One side Hunslet as a non executive director.
Irvine has previously been the chairman of Cronulla Sharks, and has also been involved in football in this country with Notts County, Bradford Park Avenue and Wycombe Wanderers.
He will assist the board to find a new ownership structure on a 12 week review, having previously helped them to complete an audit.
Irvine said: “Hunslet have taken a measured and mature approach to exploring all options and we will know in 12 weeks time what the club can afford and what the best model of ownership is in future.
“Preserving majority supporter ownership is the priority and aim of our involvement and majority ownership of the club is not an option for us on that basis.”
