St Helens will take on Sydney Roosters for the right to be called World Club champions at the Totally Wicked Stadium in February.
The annual competition will return to St Helens for the first time since 2014, though they will be hoping for better than the 39-0 thrashing they got that day at the hands of South Sydney Rabbitohs.
A year later, they did take on the Roosters at home in a curtain raiser to the main event, but once again were beaten convincingly by their Australian counterparts.
They have taken on the Roosters for the big prize before, but were beaten 38-0 by the Australians at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton.
The match will take place on February 22, the same week Saints are due to take on Catalans Dragons, word will be expected in due course for when that game will be played.
