Huddersfield Giants and Canberra Raiders have set up a joint cross-continent academy, which will see players get experience in Australia.
Raiders representatives made the trip to Huddersfield this week to finalise the deal, with details of the first players to go to the Australian capital to be announced later on in the season.
“This academy partnership will allow talented young English players the opportunity to come to Australia and test themselves against the best young players in Australia,” Raiders CEO Don Furner told the Raiders’ website.
“They will have the opportunity to train and play in the Raiders junior system and go back home with more experience.”
