St Helens Women’s player Chantelle Crowl claimed three awards at the Saints awards night recently.

She claimed the coaches player of the year, Most Entertaining Player of the Year and Hitwoman of the Year for 2019.

Meanwhile, Emily Rudge and Tara Jones each took home two awards. Rudge won the Players’ Player of the Year and the Imperial Exiles Supporters Player of the Year.

Jones on the other hand, picked up her award for NCL Referee of the Year and also won Try of the Year for her effort against Leeds Rhinos.

Elsewhere, Darcy Stott won Young Player of the Year and Pip Birchall won the most improved Player of the Year.

Jodie Cunningham scooped Player of the Year and Leah Burke also picked up an award for top try scorer.

Saints fell short in the semi-finals of both the Challenge Cup and the Super League. Both times, they lost out to eventual champions Leeds Rhinos.

They will be hoping to avenge that in the 2020 season.
