Rochdale Hornets have completed the signings of Andy Lea and Adam Carr from NCL side Thatto Heath Crusaders.
Lea has captained Thatto for the last three years, and has represented his country on the BARLA tours.
He told the club website: “I was made up when given the offer to sign.
“I’ve been really enjoying my rugby the past couple of years at Thatto in the National Conference League but when the opportunity came, it felt the right time to take it.
“I can’t wait to get started now.”
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old Carr played for Thatto in the North West Mens League, and won the BARLA National Cup.
He added: “I am really happy to have signed a deal with Rochdale.
“Hopefully I can repay the trust that has been put in me in the 2020 season.
“As I’m only young, I am looking forward to what the future holds with Rochdale and how far I can progress in the future.”
